How It Works
An Electronic Personal Vaporizer (EPV) is an electronic smoking device, which provides the user with a complete smoking experience, without all of the harmful aspects associated with conventional cigarettes. The EPV (or "electronic cigarette") is composed of 3 parts; a battery, an atomizer, and a cartridge/mouthpiece.
The atomizer contains a heating element, when air is drawn through the device, a pressure switch contained within the battery is activated (an indicator light on the tip of the battery illuminates). The atomizer vaporizes the liquid contained within the cartridge producing a vapor, which is similar to smoke. The liquid contains Propylene Glycol (PG), which acts as a delivery vehicle for the nicotine. Almost all of the nicotine is absorbed into the bloodstream and the affects are felt in moments. As a result of almost all the nicotine being absorbed, the expelled vapor is not dangerous to innocent bystanders.
